Mercedes looks to the future with the EQ abbreviation, which focuses on identifying new cars with 100% electric drive.
Electrical prototype not produced in series
You just have to see logically that you understand that this silver arrow is one of the cars that you can gain attention, a prototype that will never see light as a production car. The 5.3-meter car is clean technology. The body is carbon fiber. The cockpit opens and moves to a driving position where the skin, brushed aluminum and walnut are in a very futuristic atmosphere. The seat includes the Airscarf heater in the head area used by Mercedes in its convertible vehicles. The seat belts have four anchor points and the upholstery is equipped with an asterisk engraved laser. There is no touchscreen integrated in the steering wheel or the rear projection of the curved panorama screen.
Using artificial intelligence, Mercedes raises the possibility of competing with other brand models … even with historic Silver Arrows and virtual racetracks. You can also choose from a variety of driving programs or different sounds for your engine. One of them is the Mercedes AMG V8 or the one-seat Formula One.
Quiet “arrow” with 750 horsepower
Among its many distinctive features, the vehicle’s multilingual wheels stand out – 168, painted with aluminum and painted pink. With this n-slider made for this occasion, the Pirelli, 225/25 and 24 inches with front wheels and 305/25 26 inch wheels can be measured on the rear axle. As a Silver Arrow EQ, the Mercedes is a 750 hp electric motor. The 80 kWh battery at the bottom of the vehicle should be sufficient to provide a range of over 400 km, although the benefits are not mentioned. In addition to the rear diffuser, two extendable rear spoilers are responsible for high-speed descent. In addition, the latter acts as an air brake when the silver arrow has to lose speed.

The company on the social network tells the following
“The Mercedes-Benz Vision EQ Silver Arrow show car celebrates its world premiere. The one-seater vehicle is an homage to the record-breaking W 125 car from 1937.
“Over 80 years ago, the historic Silver Arrows demonstrated that Mercedes-Benz was a pioneer when it came to speed thanks, among other things, to their streamlined shape,” says Gorden Wagener, Chief Design Officer at Daimler AG. “The Vision EQ Silver Arrow draws on that legacy. Intended for acceleration and driving pleasure, it embodies Progressive Luxury and provides an insight into the future of our design. As a result, the show car drives the design idiom of our new EQ product and technology brand to the top.”
The EQ brand is shaped by the avant-garde, distinct aesthetic of Progressive Luxury. This arises from the combination of a previously unknown beauty, the conscious clash of digital and analogue elements as well as the seamless merging of intuitive and physical design.”
